My Wonderfulness

This is the page where I'll describe myself in more detail.

My name is Lee Gerstmann and I was born on September 27, 1965.  I find Oakland to be more interesting than Marin County, where I grew up, though I do have to say Marin County looks better than Oakland as far as the view is concerned.  That is one thing about me.  I will not sugar-coat how I feel about this town.  Still, there is cultural substance, here.  Though I am not really a fan of rap or even some of the phony and watered-down r&b that is just one step away from rap, though both are prominent here, I am a fan of music and literature and other art forms and I indulge in creativity, also.  My campaign for mayor is merely to do something different.  I don't have any tricks planned.  I don't have ANYTHING planned, really.  All I have is a curiosity to see how you, the public, will view me.

If you must know my agendas on homelessness and education, I will give them to you.

HOMELESSNESS:  People are homeless for individual reasons.  It's not something ultimately statistical.  Some people worked at high-paying jobs, then got fired.  Others just like to be lazy and pass out on the sidewalk.  There is no easy solution.

EDUCATION:  It's not good to treat children as though they were toys you can tune to your liking.  It's fine to teach them things but it's better to allow them to have opinions.  Aside from the excuse of lack of funds, the educational problem is one of a lack of objectivity, as well.

Taking a break from work

What a job!

If you must be employed, pick a job where you will be around attractive co-workers.  When I'm at City Hall, I would like my fellow City People to think of me as a wonderful person.  I can chat with attractive women all night!
